Hello. Recently my laptop's motherboard died. Im not IT expert and Im asking here. Do I have to replace it with original one to make it work again or substitute will work too? Only original motherboards I find are 400$ ones and honestly i cannot afford it but I really want to have my laptop working

Unfortunately the 'N16P9' number doesn't cross reference to a specific model. Your model number should be something like SP3xx-xxx-xxxx and be on the same sticker as the SN and SNID. If you can't read that look for the first ten digits to the SN and we can look it up from that. There are likely several motherboards that will fit, with different CPUs and possibly memory or storage.

OK, it looks like that SKU has the i7-7500U processor, so the Acer part number for the motherboard is: NB.GK911.007. Alternate MBs you could use are the NB.GK911.008 (i7-7200U) and NB.GK911.009 (i7-7100U). No other MBs will fit. They all have 4GB of memory onboard and support up to 12GB using the same 8GB stick that's in yours now.
