Hi,
After I opened the back cover of my Acer 5750G, the Wireless adapter stopped woking and disappeared from Device Manager. Is there anything I must do while closing the back cover?
Please help me with this problem.

Just as additional advice as I owned an Aspire 5750G from new that I bought in 2011 and did lots of mods to it as this is a bullet proof and a very durable and ecellent laptop. The best Wi-Fi/BT card for this laptop is the "Qualcomm Atheros AR9462-AR5B22 - Wi-Fi/BT card" full stop.

In your case and if you have an Atheros card and its not being recognised then go to this site; https://www.ath-drivers.eu/ as its got the majority of the latest Win-10 and other Windows drivers for the Qualcomm Atheros cards, if your card is either an Intel (6250/6150/6205) or a Broadcom (BCM943225) card then get the latest drivers first from them also. To reinstate the Wi-Fi/BT drivers, go to Device Manager > network adaptors and uninstall all the wifi drivers and then uninstall the Bluetooth drivers completely then reboot and then install all the new drivers for both wifi and Bluetooth afterwards. If the wifi and Bluetooth is nit recognised then after a reboot and a login press the F3 key or the Alt+F3 keys and that should activate both the wifi and the Bluetooth.

Also this laptop will perform 300% better with a 2.5” SSD SATA3 at 6GB/sec type drive and if you don’t have the i7 CPU then upgrade it to the top of the range fitted to this laptop which is the I7-2820QM. Also fit the 8GB (2x 4GB) max capacity RAM at DDR3-1600MHz.

You probably lossen up the connection of the Wi-Fi adapter. Try take the Wi-Fi adapter out and reseat it firmly. If there are the black and white antenna wires, be sure they are connected back well.

f it were just the antenna wires it would still show in Device Manager but wouldn't connect unless you were very close to the router. That means it's much more likely you have somehow removed the card, damaged the card or damaged the connector the card plugs into. You will need to open it up and inspect the card and the connector. It's much less likely that you fried something on the card, but possible, especially if you didn't disconnect the battery as the first thing after pulling the case apart.
