Hello
I just bought brand new Nitro 5 AN515-57 without OS. I'm trying to install Windows 10 from USB, but installer doesn't see SSD drive.
When entering BIOS I can see the HDD0 info on Information page, but nowhere else - please see screenshots with specs and bios screens below.
I found lots of threads here suggesting to use Ctrl+S but in my case it doesn't show me any SATA settings - the only things which is shown is the Touchpad option (see second screenshot).

I ran out options - any ideas/suggestions/experiments will be  highly appreciated!

@Globus000 if you have another computer, download the Intel RST(IRST) driver and extract it.https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/8963?b=1.
Put that extracted file into the Windows installation USB. When the installation asks for the driver, locate that driver folder that you have pasted earlier.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hi @AnhEZ28
Yes, this is the solution! Everything rainbows and unicorns now.
Guys, for others who will run in the same issue - step-by-step instruction:
    1.  Download the driver as AnhEZ28 suggested
    2. Put somewhere on your USB drive
    3. during the installation when windows installer show you the empty list of drivers - click Load Driver
    4. Select the folder where actually driver is located
    5. In the list then select "Interl RST VM Controller 9A08 (TGL)"
After that your drive will be visible and you can proceed with installation

    Hi @Globus000,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.

If you still have a problem with the disk during the installation of Windows 10, I recommend a website where everything is explained step by step. https://www.asus.com/pl/support/FAQ/1044458/ just a note in point 6, when you move to the USB, do not press ok, just press the right arrow, then a tree with the folders located on the USB will open.

    I found a way.

Make sure the SSD is connected well. Go to Device Manager. If it is not there, run a Memory Diagnosis. Then go to Device Manager and you should see it. Go to Disk Management and you will see the disk but not allocated. Click it and select New Volume, and follow the instructions (mostly just Next). Voila.

https://community.acer.com/en/profile/AnhEZ28 Hi I seem to have the same issue but the link you provided seems to no longer work, do you have a working link or the name of the driver I need?

I ran into same problem. Just got a new Nitro AN515-46:

    • started Windows 11 installation from USB —> so it can see partitions here
    • deleted ALL existing partitions and created one big new
    • restarted the laptop
    • cannot find drivers —> it cannot find the partitions anymore

I tried all sorts of IRST packages (from various places; Acer support does not provide them for AN515-* models it seems, why?), I put them on USB (also unzip SetupRST.exe with 7z even): Windows installer doesn't accept any of them.

I am lost. Anyone has ideas?

Note: I installed Ubuntu 20 without any problem after above attempts.
