Open Device Manager. Click batteries folder. Right click and uninstall all drivers you find in this folder. Exit Device Manager and shut down Windows normally without reinstalling anything.

With the charger plugged in, wait for the battery charge LED to turn from steady orange to steady blue. After it turns steady blue, turn the machine back on.

After Windows is fully booted, unplug the charger. Keep using the laptop until the Windows low battery message appears. Then plug the charger back in. The battery should then charge to 95-100% and the battery charge LED should  be steady blue. The battery meter should now be properly calibrated.

Problem here is that the LED won't turn blue even with hours of charging.

At  least one of your battery's cells likely has an internal short. You risk damaging the charger and a battery fire trying to use it. New replacement batteries are less than $30usd. Google search 'e5-766G' & 'battery' for vendors/sellers who ship to your location.
