Hi, I have an Acer Predator Helios 300 G3-572 laptop. Since last week I have been getting random ping spikes to 200 to 400 Ms every 2-4 seconds.

When I ping 8.8.8.8 I get ~3ms and then every 4th or 5th ping it jumps too 200-400ms. So when I'm gaming too every 2 seconds there's a small pause making any online fps game kind of unplayable.

2 days ago I did the netsh autoconfig command and turned the wifi interface off and on and that fixed the problem till today(it didnt get fixed when i turned it off, but when i turned it off and back on it started working smoothly again). But now even that doesn't work. Any idea what's causing this problem? Could it be a hardware issue? My wifi speed is 50-70mbps although it's a public wifi of my apartment. But I don't see how that's the issue as I temporarily fixed it with the netsh command a few days ago.

Also, I have since done a tracert to find the ip of my apartment router and tried to ping that. And the issue persists even there. So it seems to me that the router is not at fault for this.

Any suggestions/idea as to what the problem is and how i would go about fixing it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

    Try windows + r - on the run - type ncpa.cpl

Right click on wifi - disable and then enable it
Right click on wifi - diagnose

Try windows + x - Click on power shell admin or command admin

    Type on command prompt..

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

    Restart the computer and check..

If it is still not working..

Sometimes a simple system restore will fix the issue..

    Try windows x
click on power shell admin or command prompt admin
    type rstrui
chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fine
    click on next, finish, yes
It will restore your computer to an earlier date
if you get an message - system restore not completed - click on close
It will show you all the icons..

Try and check whether it is working now ..

If it is still not working..

    Try windows x
Go to device manager - Go to Network adapter.  Expand it
Uninstall the wireless driver from device manager.
Restart the computer.  It should work fine..

If it is still not working
Uninstall the wireless driver from device manager
    Dont restart the computer.
    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
    go to drivers
    Install the wireless driver

    It should work fine..
