Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a Swift X SFX14-41G, and the user manual states that I have to charge the battery fully before powering it on for the first time. But the manual doesn't state how long I should charge it for. Should I charge it for 2, 4, 8 or 24 hours?

Furthermore, the manual states that I have to fully deplete and recharge the battery to 100% 2 times after the initial charge to complete the conditioning process. Am I allowed to shut down or sleep my laptop while it's battery power during this process?

Any reply would be appreciated thanks,

The charge indicator light changes color when the battery is fully charged, use that to tell when it's ready to turn on. The battery calibration routine is to start with a fully charged battery, disconnect the charger and use the laptop normally until Windows shuts you down due to low battery. You can sleep it or shut it down during the process, as long as you don't reconnect the charger early. Once it's down due to low battery, reconnect the charger and wait for the full battery indication before turning it back on. In addition to doing this when new you might find it helpful to repeat it every year or two, since Windows does gradually get confused about the battery...

It's fine, I'll just make assumptions based on the manual as I trust that more than a website with grammatical errors. Thanks for replying.
