cvilux E208903-5 AWM 20706 105C 60V VW-1 30-pin ribbon cable for aspire A515-46-R14K

Trying to find this replacement cable for the right side USB port and sound port to the motherboard, as I burned up the original by not reseating it fully after adding an additional hard drive. However, it seems to be impossible to find the exact 30-pin cable with the same 105C rating.

If someone could provide me with the alternate part number, that'd be super, too.

Any ideas on this? I'm almost at a point where I think it's a conspiracy this cable isn't readily available in 30-pin for replacement purchase other than the ridiculous $35 Acer wants for it.

Okay, two part answer to what happened. First, the HP part is NOT a match, as I did not realize it was only 6 pins.

HOWEVER, I did find the part!

This is a Molex FFC with the exact same specifications, right down to the temp rating. Connected it, and all is well!!!

And no, it's not $35. It was a $5.22, and I expedited shipping for an additional $6 or so. I hope this helps anyone in the U.S. who is having difficulty finding a replacement for this ribbon!

Unfortunately, I cannot find any retailers in the US for this cable. It's like I have to go to Russia for it. Is there a generic equivalent that you know of that would work?

Found the HP equivalent (absolutely no difference between brands, as the specs are identical). Look for HP part NBX00026E00. This will even have the blue tabs on it and the same length.

All I can suggest is to measure the minimum length needed and Google search 105c 30 pin ffc aliexpress. Aliexpress is a fairly reliable concessionaire like Amazon. It has stateside warehouses for parts like this so delivery can be relatively quick. I've used them frequently over the years. The only fly in the ointment might be the 105c rating as most ffcs are 80c. If it has to come from off shore, usually takes 3-4 weeks on a slow boat.

I found that HP part NBX00026E00 is the exact same cable and runs about $7 US for the part as opposed to the $35 Acer wanted for it. I am not sure why this is such a unicorn of a part in the Acer world, but it's disheartening. It's almost like it is a European part only. In any case, HP part NBX00026E00 has the exact same specs, right down to the blue tabs on the ends marked USB and MB, as well as the silver shielding. The cable will be here in two days, and I look forward to getting my other USB port working after this long search!

Thanks for the report. Please let us know how it goes either way. A Canadian laptop parts distributor wanted $50+ for the ACER cable so the apparent huge price discrepancy is puzzling if the HP & ACER parts are indeed identical. .

Totally and completely! The only drawback is that it's a 6 inch cable, so you have to deal a bit with the extra length. I just put it in there and let it back cover evenly compress it. Works perfectly!
