I have a Aspire ES 14. Model number is ES1-420-575H. So the problem is that i CAN'T use the build in mic in my headphone and it's annoying me. I tried every solution possible and i can't seem to solve it. And also the problem is the computer not the headphone since my phone can use it well. Plus i can only hear background music on the headphone

Right click speaker icon in right tray. Click open sound settings. Click sound control panel in right pane. Click recording tab. Select your headphone mic.

You are already using the headset mic.

As long as when you plugged in your headset, the computer prompts you "which device did you plug in?" and you select headset --- you are using the headset mic. 3.5mm headset mic is not a separate item.

If your computer doesn't prompt you, then go to Realtek Audio Console or Realtek HD Audio Manager to select headset.

    Hi @DlOBRANDO,

Select Start > Settings > Privacy > Microphone . In Allow access to the microphone on this device, select Change and make sure Microphone access for this device is turned on.
