Hi everyone,

In 2017 I found a gem of a deal at Costco. Acer Predator Desktop for 1299.
It has i7 6700  , 32 GB RAM,  SSD, and 1070 GTX.

I do not know the first thing about this stuff. Usually I just buy a new one. I am noticing to beat this computer I am going to have to spend way more. Can I upgrade this? I played mostly everything to this point but I want to play cyberpunk and Starfield coming up. I saw this is a tricky mother board depending on each variation. Can someone take a look that truly knows? I see so many back and for this board.

Could I upgrade the chip past 6700? And could I go bigger on GPU? (IF i can find one)  Thanks everyone!!! The dude abides

@BigLebowski87 your PC specs should be fine with those games that you have mentioned. If you want better performance, you can upgrade the GPU to GTX1080 or newer RTX series(shouldn't buy it right now because of increase in price) and stronger power supply. I7-6700 or 6700K is the best compatible CPU.

And an i7-6700K will require a cooling upgrade, so likely not worth the expense. The prices on new systems are high due to the same chip shortage that makes them hard to find, so keep on with what you have for another year or so, when I expect the shortages to slack off.
