I have a N17W6 Acer Swift SF114-32 series, I would like to connect 2 monitors to it. I have been using 1 monitor which is connected with a HDMI cable. Is there a way to connect 2 monitors?
I was told by the local Harvey Norman that my laptop does not support video using the USB - c drive, as I have brought a USB-C adaptor which allows up to 3 HDMI/monitors to be connected. If this is true, is there a way I can update my laptop to support without buying a new laptop as I only purchased this one in May. (sorry if my terminology is not correct, I am not very good with computers) Thanks in advance.

    Hi @ Hayley21
Yeah It's possible, at least technically, to add as many monitors as your laptop has USB port  in this fashion. ... For quick and cheap multiple monitor setups, it's best to combine your laptop's own screen, one monitor attached with HDMI/DisplayPort/DVI, and one on a USB adapter.

You just need a USB dock with video that doesn't require DP Alt mode. It will be a bit more expensive than the ones that do, since the dock needs to be smart enough to do video itself, but it will work great for everything except gaming. Return the adapter cable and get a dock instead... If you choose one that is USB 3.0 you won't have to worry about DP Alt mode, since it's not supported in the USB 3.0 spec.
