Hi!

I recently bought a Samsung ssd 980 1TB to use as my boot drive for this laptop.

Is it as simple as taking out the old stock ssd and putting this in? Do i need to do anything before that?

I haven't done this before so i appreciate the help i see on these forums. Sorry for the noob question.

Yes its as simple as that, remove 1 screw from SSD card at the back, then lift to remove the SSD card, simple.

GoodFellaGoalie if youre planning to use it as boot drive you need to clone it first (with easeus partition master or similar) and then remove the older drive for safekeeping or format it after so it wont boot from it as it will always try to boot from the older first good luck :)
