I'm no expert but should both volumes be identical?

    Both add up to 29GB!

Why has the other 970GB on disk 0 not shown up?

Ive double checked the volume list for disk 0 and it comes up the same as disk 1. That's why I posted both disks in the second image.

Volume 0 is the SSD's grub EFI/ESP partition. The SSD's main Linux EXT formatted system partition is not visible to diskpart. I think I finally see the problem now. But first enter the following diskpart commands.

    Select Disk 0
    Select Volume 0
    Assign Letter M
    List Volume

    Post screenshot of last command.

Hope other users with EMMC and Linux dual boot experiences can help you with that.

    Things that you can try:

Turn off your laptop. Then turn on your laptop and immediately press BIOS key multiple times until it shows BIOS boot menu. If you are using HP Pavilion, your BIOS key is F10. Then choose Ubuntu.

You can also edit boot order in BIOS settings. Repeat the same step as above but choose 'enter setup'.

If windows keep resetting the boot order, try set default boot order using bcdedit in windows command prompt. You can just google the step-by-step to set default by using bcdedit jeffree star

    Thanks tttt.

Thing is zaralarsnor that the grub Boot loader isn't shown in the boot options menu(F12) or main Boot menu(F2).

The Bios are very restrictive, I cant alter any of the options that I would normally use to solve an installation problem. (i.e. change from Uefi to legacy)

There is something deeper either in the Uefi file, on board the emmc or the mainboard.

The photos show that the command line only sees the emmc(32GB) and not the ssd(1TB)(disk 0 and disk 1 are the emmc).

The ssd shows as frozen in the main Bios.

    Thanks

OK. Exit diskpart. Exit the command. Open  Win10's File Explore. Please post a screenshot or phone photo of the contents in M: drive folder.

Nothing. "m:" is the command (without quotes)

After entering "m:", the C:>_ prompt should change to the M:>_ prompt.
