Hi everyone, could you help me with something?
I have an Aser Aspire 3 A315-21G laptop with 4 Gb non-removable memory, and I want to upgrade the memory, the question is, can I? The most things I found is, that I can upgrade it up to 12 Gb and 2666MHz, so if I buy an 8Gb ram with 2666MHZ frequency, will it work just like that or it will get limited to the current frequency? Which is 800 Mhz, and that ain't much.
Thanks for help.

Your maimboard memory bus runs at 1200MHz maximum. This is equivalent 2400MHz for double data rate DDR4 sodimm RAM modules. So an 8GB sodimm module capable of 2666MHz will automatically adjust to 2400MHz allowed by the mainboard for a total of 12 GB RAM running at 2400MHz.
