SP513-54N-74V2. Backlit stopped working.

Function key (F8) doesn't do anything.  Anybody know how to get this working again?  Not sure what I did, but in any case it shouldn't be this difficult to put it back on.  Thanks

    Fn key is present on the lower left corner of the keyboard. 

    Hold the fn key on the keyboard and press f6 or f5 once..  You will get the display back.. 

    Please find attached the details which are enclosed...

    I think you may have misunderstood my issue.  The problem is the "keyboard" backlight is not working.  All the other function keys work fine.  Thanks for your reply, I guess I will just live with that as it's not a big deal but I wanted to see if I could fix it.

    Yeah, that was obviously in response to a question you were thinking of about screen brightness. :) It should be either Fn-F8 or F8 by itself depending on how you have the BIOS set. IIRC you may have to reboot after toggling it off to allow it to toggle back on.

    Did you try to turn ON the keyboard backlit via BIOS.
