Hi guys,
I'm having some issues here. I wanted to increase the memory on my Nitro N-50-110 system and used the Crucial automatic memory detector. It advised
Crucial RAM CT16G4DFRA32A 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL22 Desktop Memory so I went on Amazon yesterday and purchased two sticks. I installed it tonight and looked in Task Manager which reports it is running at 2667MHz. Have been in the online chat with a customer service person from Crucial who says it runs at 2667MHz because my machine is only capable of 2666MHz (which is bizarre). If I remove the new memory Task Manager reports the original 8Gb memory running at 3200MHz. Anyway, I could get no help from Crucial apart from them insisting my old memory couldn't have run at 3200MHz then the chat ending.
Anybody have any ideas on what to do next? I could just keep the new memory but on principal I don't wanna be running at 2667MHz when I paid for 3200MHz.
Thanks for any responses
