I wanted to increase the memory on my Nitro N50-110 memory

Hi guys,

I'm having some issues here. I wanted to increase the memory on my Nitro N-50-110 system and used the Crucial automatic memory detector. It advised Crucial RAM CT16G4DFRA32A 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL22 Desktop Memory so I went on Amazon yesterday and purchased two sticks. I installed it tonight and looked in Task Manager which reports it is running at 2667MHz. Have been in the online chat with a customer service person from Crucial who says it runs at 2667MHz because my machine is only capable of 2666MHz (which is bizarre). If I remove the new memory Task Manager reports the original 8Gb memory running at 3200MHz. Anyway, I could get no help from Crucial apart from them insisting my old memory couldn't have run at 3200MHz then the chat ending.

Anybody have any ideas on what to do next? I could just keep the new memory but on principal I don't wanna be running at 2667MHz when I paid for 3200MHz.

Looking at doing the same got the same rig, want to upgrade to 2 x 16gb ddr4 , is it when it runs on duel channels it drops the pair to 2666mhz.

will it cause any issue when Putting 3200mhz ram in?

It's my second 2x16Gb DDR4 3200MHz I've bought in a week and same results with both. I thought it really strange it comes out as 2667mhz and not 2666mhz too. Anyway, I put a query in to Acer support about it too and will post back here if/when I hear anything from them

Did some experimenting this afternoon. I took my old memory out and discovered the machine doesn't recognise there is any memory in it at all when the Crucial recommended memory is in by itself. I've arranged a return of it as it's obviously not suitable. Odd though that it will recognise the Crucial memory when my old memory is in, just at a lower speed though.

The old memory (which is two 4Gb sticks) has on the sticker "PC4-3200AA.UCB.11". I have that in alone now and it's running at 3200MHz again. There are many results to "PC4-3200" in a Google search but nothing when I put that whole line in so not sure how to proceed from here to get more.

Anyway, tech support gave me the number to the spare parts department who I called today and they could only tell me it comes with 8Gb of 3200MHz DDR4 memory which runs at 3200Mhz but couldn't tell me any further info of what else might work with it. So far I've tried two different recommended RAM pairs totalling over £200 and none of them worked so at this point gonna stick with the 8Gb that's already in there and hope that I see somebody post in the near future here or somewhere else that they bought some RAM for their N50-110 and what it was

Can you show or tell us what is your 8GB RAM module that is working? I have an issue with a kingston 8gb DDR4-2666 and I'd like to know what RAM should fit in the N50-110. The motherboard is a DAAM4L-Martina.
