(g5-793 acer predator model)  WD blue ssd installed

I migrated my operating system to a new ssd but the operating system still boots from hdd

Everything worked perfectly, but the boot time isn't faster and task manager doesn't show the new disk as being active even though I put it up in boot order. I've been reading what other people are saying, some say that I should change from raid mode to ahci, but they say it is done with ctrl+s in main tab bios or if that doesn't work, safe mode then ctrl+s in bios main tab. I tried scanning for firmware upgrades with western digital and they said everything's up to date; I've tried everything, please help!

You can try unplugging the HDD to see if the OS on the SSD is working or not. If yes, then plug the HDD back in and change the SSD boot priority to 1st in the BIOS.

I'll try unplugging the hdd, the ssd is already in boot priority.

I migrated my os to ssd and placed it first in boot order. The new drive is D, in system configuration under the Boot tab, it only shows the hdd drive as current OS default OS. How do I get the boot tab to show my ssd operating system as current/default os, it is not showing up in the boot tab, in bios ctrl + s doesn't do anything, so I can't change anything but the boot order.

@0Stefro in the uefi/boot will only show up the OS drive will never show the secondary drive unless theres also another uefi OS in it thats completely normal if your second drive its showing up on windows theres nothing to worry bare in mind that if you have migrated your OS from another drive (hdd/ssd) to the new ssd you need to format the older one you cannot have 2 drives booting the same OS with the same boot record/GPT it will conflict with each other usually when i clone a hdd to ssd i keep the hdd as backup and get another hdd to replace it (if you wish to keep it as backup) if not format it as the older drive will always become the default one automatically because of the secure boot unless you disable secure boot and always boot from the drive you want manually but i dont recommend that so either remove/format your hdd good luck :)

I was talking to some of the other experts here on this forum and I formatted my hdd, but it is still default boot, and then one other expert told me to delete the 100mb partition to fix this, but it is greyed out, what do I do?
