Acer Swift X (SFX14-41G-R4ES) can't upgrade to Windows 11?

So I bought this Acer Swift X of the Ryzen 7 5700U, GTX 1650 variant just this September. The online store I bought it from seems reputable. The unit looks to be of the Chinese model because of the Chinese characters in the box and because the seller had to install the English Windows 10 Pro version on it I think, but just to make sure I clean installed Windows 10 after I received the unit (after binding the Windows 10 Pro license that they used to my Microsoft account so I was able to use it to activate Windows after I clean installed Windows 10).

All my drivers are updated and I even flashed the latest BIOS on it from here: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/8933?b=1.

This BIOS says version 1.04, "1.Enable fTPM support for China."

Ok, so here's the deal. I can't upgrade to Windows 11 because the PC Health Check app says that I don't have a TPM. I know AMD uses the fTPM thing but it's nowhere to be found in the BIOS. And when I check the "Security devices" in the Device Manager, the only thing that shows up is "AMD PSP 10.0 Device".

I really have no idea what's going on because I just read some Amazon reviews of people who were able to upgrade to Windows 11 with no problem, although the unit reviewed there is the Ryzen 7 5800U, RTX 3050Ti variant.

Still, I'm assuming that whatever variant you get of the Acer Swift X, it should be able to update to Windows 11, right? I mean, the drivers page of the Acer unit whose link I posted above is applicable to all variants of the Swift X, and the page already has a Windows 11 menu there.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

    Hello!!

    @Kenco

    Acer has published a list of models that support upgrading to Windows 11. If your product model is not in the list, Acer has not tested the device and the drivers have not been updated for that model. For more information on the Windows 11 upgrade, please visit the Windows 11 official website.

    Hi, thanks for replying. Yes, according to the first link you sent, all Acer Swift X models are supported (Swift SFX14-41G). My unit is SFX14-41G-R4ES.

    The issue is that it is the Chinese model. China requires the TPM to be disabled in systems sold in the country. At some point it's very likely that MS and China will work out some sort of agreement that allows the OS to be used, but for now they do not.

    Man that really sucks. That explains why the latest BIOS version (1.04) is titled "1.Enable fTPM support for China." Still, you'd think given that description it should actually allow you to enable the fTPM somewhere, but it must really be deep in the settings or something because I just can't find it.

    Thanks for the lead though. Really appreciate this piece of info I haven't been able to find anywhere.

    Yeah, fTPM is simply a firmware version of TPM that doesn't require there be a TPM chip physically on the motherboard. I'm guessing once fTPM is enabled there is a process to then turn it on. Normally that's done in the BIOS... If there isn't a selection to turn it on try doing a CTRL-S in the screen to see if they have it under an advanced menu.
