Everything we look up says the USB-c on this Acer supports USB-c charging, but have tried a 45 and 65 watt and neither work. Does it support USB-c?

I see nothing saying that the USB-C gen 1 port supports charging the laptop. The controller chip is a Texas Instruments TPS25810 and the data sheet says it doesn't support system charging or DP alt mode.

So the USB-c chargers that say they fit this model, including on Acer site, aren’t correct?

    Hi @Krayt,

Acer includes a 65-Watt A/C adapter with the Swift 3, providing more than enough output to power this laptop. ... The good news is that the notebook also has a USB-C connector with power delivery, and you can charge the laptop over USB-C with no issues.

we have tried multiple USB-c chargers in 2 different swift 3 with neither charging. The reason we are trying, is a bad a/c charge port in one that needs the a/c plug held in place with paperweights in order to make the laptop charge.

As I said, it doesn't support USB-C charging, other than charging your phone or such using the port. For the problem child you are likely best off to replace the DC-In cable and potentially rebuild the mount portion of the case to hold it in place. There is a different part number for the 45W and 65W cables, so I need to know which yours is to allow me to look the number up for you.
