The screen will have a sudden flickering in a second and it turned back to normal. This happens a few times to me. While the speaker also had sharp noise suddenly for 2-3 seconds but turned back to normal after that, and this only happen once. Is there any solution for these?

Those sound like electrical noise, a bad supply, bad wiring in the house or poorly routed wiring. If you have other devices on the circuit (like a refrigerator) that puts an inductive load on the power you can see these symptoms.

Hello, it is still happening, and the screen flickered again like this, in a split second, and disappeared immediately. The noise doesn't appear me after that, so I can't identify whether it is work or not. Thanks for your answer, Billsey.

Was that a screen shot or a picture taken with your phone or other camera? If a screen shot then we know it's Windows, or a Windows driver, causing it because the black bar is being sent to the display. If a picture then it can be a display issue even though Windows is sending the correct info to the screen. It also looks like maybe the black section is a missing chunk rather than just covering over data that should be there. Look at the space between my signature (Click on "Like" if you find my answer useful or click on "Yes" if it answers your question.) and the editor gadgets (Bold, Italics, Strike Through, etc.).

Can this be solved? Cause this laptop is pretty new and I am a bit worried about the data and files that I saved on the laptop.

OK, since that was a screen shot the issue is with what Windows decides to display rather than an issue with the display itself. That's a good thing. :)
Which driver version is installed for your graphics? Intel has been doing a bunch of tweaks for that driver over the last year or so...

Open Device Manager and look under Display Adapters, bring up properties on what is there and look at the driver versions.

    It's Intel(R) Iris (R) Xe Graphics

But what is the driver version? I have the Iris Plus instead of the Xe and my driver version is 30.0.101.1069. Yours will be similar.

OK, try going to the Intel support site and update that driver. They have done a lot of updates this year and I bet your issue is one of them. IIRC the latest one is around a month old, and yours is from January.

So, I just have to update the driver and that's it? It will back to normal after updating it?

It should, like I said Intel has been doing a lot of work on those drivers, so there's a very good chance they will have fixed it for you already.

OK, then we are likely looking at a hardware glitch the driver is passing through. :( Are you still in warranty? If so contact Acer support and open a ticket on it.
