Hello,

My Aspire 5 A515-55-35SE Elan touchpad suddenly stopped working 3 days ago. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them (I downloaded the latest Acer drivers). I also downloaded the latest I/O drivers and installed them as well. The touchpad still does not work. Any help on this issue is appreciated.

    (1) Press and hold power button till laptop shuts off
    (2) Unplug charger. No LEDs should be lit.
    (3) Insert paper clip into reset pinhole on bottom for about a minute
    (4) Plug charger back in and wait till battery charge LED turns to steady blue
    (5) Turn laptop back on and immediately press the F2 key to enter the BIOS menu
    (6) Press F9 in the BIOS menu to load defaults. Press F10 to save defaults and exit the BIOS menu
    (7) Laptop should start Windows login normally.
    (8) If touchpad still doesn't work, please post a screenshot of Device Manager with the hidden device driver checked in View tab
