I have an Acer GN246HL monitor and a RTX3080TI graphics card and i can not get above 60hz on the 144hz monitor. I have tried using a HDMI2.1 cable and DisplayPort to HDMI cable 4k UHD and neither of them will let the monitor go over 60zh
Is there a reason for this?

You need DP without HDMI to get the 144Hz mode, only 60Hz is supported with HDMI in the circuit. So, DP on the 3080 to DP on the monitor.

Thanks for the reply but my 144hz monitor only has a HDMI,DVI and VGA connection.
So does this mean there's no way that I can use any of these cables with the RTX3080TI to get 144hz?
