    Hi,
Could you please post the full model name, like SPxxx-xx.

Yes, you can connect a HDD or a 2.5" SSD, you need a cable and a carrier for HDD, also need 4 screws to secure the HDD to the carrier and another 4 screws to fix the carrier to the bay, if you don't move the laptop very often you can secure the HDD with sponge inside the bay.

Depending on which TravelMate Spin model you have, you can most likely put a SSD in a M.2 slot. If it's old enough to not have an M.2 slot you will want to do as Easwar suggests and swap the existing HDD with a 2.5" SSD. I can't remember when the first TM Spin models came out, but I believe they are all new enough to have the M.2 slot. Age of the unit will determine if the M.2 slot is for a SATA drive or NVMe x2 or x4. Your model number is likely TM Bxxx-xxx-xxxx.

@Easwar I did as you said, but Windows won't install for me (it freezes at the stage Copying Windows files (0%)). And it's interesting that my new SSD is detected as HDD in BIOS, do you know what the problem could be?
