DO THE ACER ASPIRE 3 A315-42 HAVE A Nv Me SSD IN IT

MY name IS TERRY WHEN I TOOK THE BACK OFF MY ACER IT WHAT LOOK LIKE A M2 OR THE LATER ONE IN IT, BUT THERE IS NO TRACE OF IT WHEN I CHECK WITH SPECCY OR BELARC ADVISOR

    You laptop probably did not come with a NVMe SSD but a spinning HDD.

    Can you take a picture of the motherboard after opening the back of the laptop? Previously, I saw the picture of Aspire 3 A315-42 which had the M.2 slot, and people reported  they installed M.2 NVMe SSD to it. You may want to ADD it instead.

    So, please double check.

    Yes, you have a single m.2 socket that can accept either a SATA3 m.2 card or a NVME m.2 card. The NVME card should be about twice as fast as the SATA3 card. The m.2 socket is located just above the right speaker as shown below. If the socket is empty, it might not appear in scanners.
