Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 Eagle GPU Spike 100% randomly

My laptop's spec is: i5-14400H, RTX 3050, 16GB RAM.

This laptop is like 1-week old and I notice that when I play games, for instance Valorant and League of Legends, I get these intermittent GPU spikes all the way to 100%. I did use high power plans and everything set when I play, drivers updated to the latest, coolboost, high-performance used.. but these spikes are still happening only on the GPU.
Also worth mentioning is that it somehow does not affect my gaming experience, no dips in FPS, no drops or anything.
I did do a hard reset on my laptop, and re-installed everything but this still doesn't wander away.

Any solutions or advice? Many thanks :3

Also, when I check on my task manager, the spiking happens in the Copy section for the NVIDIA GPU.

Update: I've just run a GPU-intensive test and used MSI Afterburner to see both GPUs usage, and it seems like the onboard GPU (Intel) was getting spikes 100% which was also displayed on Nitro Sense somehow (even though I switched to my NVIDIA GPU primarily). Kinda weird how it keeps happening whenever I do something GPU-intensive. Must have been a bug.

    Update #2
I double-checked in a game and found out the GPU spike was actually from the COPY section from my RTX 3050.

    Is it bad? :(

Check to see all bios and vbios updates have been complete, check the intel/integrated graphics are up to date too, and all windows update complete.

I have reinstalled the drivers both INTEL and NVIDIA and it still happens.
Windows Update is to the latest…
    Bios as well :(

    XVincentDangX,

Uninstall and reinstall the nitrosense app and check.

Well it’s been almost 10 months since and I have noticed that the problem wears off quite significantly. I also have a friend who recently purchased the same model and he had the same issue, but at this point, I wouldn’t say it’s too big of a deal since I did not get any lag spikes or fps drops from it (even when it used to occur)

Also I recommend to change the stock thermal paste that the laptop came with, it really made a huge difference to the temp and the performance!

Never got a solution myself so I ended up not caring about it anymore. Tbh it doesn’t seem to affect anything at all, not even the thermal nor the fans, so I reckon my theory that there’s some faulty display of the statistics which made it spike like that.

However, after almost 2 years of using and one time deep cleaning, I’d say Acer Care Center bugs out a lot and never runs smoothly, always having to open it via Run Cmd otherwise it’d fail to initialize. Nitro Sense seems to work fine. But to anyone looking to get RTX 3050(ti) versions of this laptop or any at all, I’d highly advise against it now if you plan on playing intensive or newer titles as they wouldn’t get you good FPS performance to suffice the 144Hz at all, perhaps on older titles yes.

For reference: Valorant is around 90-180FPS lowest settings (mostly in the sub-144 zone); FIFA 23 I had to cap 72FPS (half of 144Hz) to have a steady performance otherwise it’d full inferno blast the laptop; League of Legends even drops below 70-80FPS sometimes in hardcore fights, but maintains a steady 130FPS+

If you’re not a keen-on-FPS gamer and just looks to have a playable laptop with okay performance and a working one then yeah, a choice if you’re able to snatch for a good price, that’s it.
