My laptop is Acer Aspire A515-56G. So Please help me tell if my laptop also like them or not?

    Chandashoka123,

Once the battery is fully charged then the adaptor and battery stoped the process automatically to ensure the battery lifespan and to avoid malfunctions. It's not mean that batter drained. If the battery drains charge again it starts charging it automatically. So nothing wrong in it.

You cannot overcharge the battery if the laptop & charger are working properly.

NO. Not harmful. OK to keep plugged in all the time.

I am still confused how to treat my laptop battery too. Basically there should be some regulator to prevent the laptop from overcharging.

However, Acer doesn't recommend AC continuously plugged as battery may get overcharged.

For my older Dell laptop I always have the AC plugged and have the battery 99% of the time removed. Only put back the battery once every half year to charge it back to 100% again and then remove it again.

The Acer laptop battery is basically non-removable unless taking the back cover off first. I am thinking of removing the battery next time I open up the laptop and just use AC. 99.9% of the time the Acer laptop can be used with AC accessibly environment.

No. Won't overcharge if the laptop and charger are in good condition. The battery itself also has a built-in charge controller to further prevent overcharging. However, it helps the battery to retain its originally designed amp-hr or watt-hr capacity if it is occasionally cycled.
