Hello..... i bought an  acer aspire 5 laptop, 8 months ago and now it makes a screaming noise screen goes black and flickers. It works ok for couple hours then just starts making this noise, freezes up, and to turn it off usually after 10 mins it does.  restarting it goes ok. The second day same thing happened, so now im here to find out what problem is. The noise comes from under the numbers pad from the right hand side. Is there fans there? Any help would be appreciated, thank you . Tried loading a video file format not accepted, even cut it down .

It looks like a hardware issue..

If your laptop is in warranty you can contact the warranty dept.     Go to the website support.acer.com - chose your country.   On the new page - scroll down -  click on "contact support".  Scroll down.  You can find the phone no to contact the warranty dept.

We need to determine whether it is a hardware or software issue.

Tap f2 while turning on the computer.   It will go to bios.    When you are on the bios, it means that the operating system is not yet loaded.   Now check how the display looks on bios.   Check whether you are getting the same sound on bios.    If the display is not looking good or if you still get the same sound on the bios then it is a hardware issue.
