Hi,
I purchased Acer Aspire E1-571G in 2012 from a retailer with installed Windows-7. As the system was responding too slow i formatted win-7 and have upgraded to win10-pro. But i don't have purchased microsoft office package. As the PC was purchased from the retailer with already installed win-7, i didn't have any product key. Can anybody help me now, whether i can retrieve microsoft office product key of my previously installed win-7 and now i can use it in win-10 pro.

Note:- After googling i got some info as we can still retreive the product key from regedit even if we have already formatted as because it stores somewhere in BIOS.

Please help.

You can't recover the key once you have formatted the drive. Only the Windows key is stored in the EFI BIOS, not the Office key. If you registered Office with your Microsoft account you may be able to retrieve the key from them.

Why bother with old MS Office? Just download Libreoffice or Openoffice suites from internet. These are free unless you want to make some donations to them.

Whenever I have the trial versions of MS Office with my new PCs, I uninstalled that the first day.
