Hi,

I have a ACER Swift 3 SF314-54. Windows says the onboard memory of 4GB runs with 2400MHz.
According to https://uk.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/swift-3-sf314-54 I can put an 8GB module to upgrade.

So I've put a 8GB SK Hynix HMA81GS6AFR8N 2400T-module in my Swift 3.
https://www.amazon.nl/Hynix-HMA81GS6AFR8N-UH-DDR4-2400-SODIMM-geheugenmodule/dp/B0754185PH

Unfortunatelly I get a blank screen when I start my laptop up. When I remove it, the laptop starts up normally. So my laptop doesn't likes this module, but why? Can I only
upgrade with a 4GB module or what?

Spec says the SF314-54 models use 2666 memory, not 2400. The SO-DIMM socket supports either 4GB or 8GB modules, so it should work with a 2666 instead of the 2400.
