Hi , recently bought Acer Aspire 3 A315 - 58 model in singapore
It comes with 8gb ram, 256 GB SSD. currently i split in to 2 drive 120 + 130 like that.
i am thinking of adding a new HDD.
does it provide sata port for adding a HDD. there is no separate door for hDD, i have to open the full back case it seems. does it void the warrnty if i open and install the new hDD myself?
otherwise, can i bring to service centre to add up HDD? does it cost me service charge or it is free of charge under warranty
another thing . this model have howmany slots for RAM. i mean is there another empty slot to upgrade to 16GB Ram (8GB x 2)

Yes, you can add a 2.5" SATA3 HDD or SSD up to 2TB. Your mainboard comes with either 4GB soldered RAM or 8GB soldered RAM that are not replaceable. It has one replaceable RAM socket which can use up to 16GB DDR4 sodimm module 2666MHz or faster speed. So you can have up to 20GB or 24GB total RAM depending on if you have the 4GB or 8GB soldered RAM mainboard. If you don't break any tamper seal tape that might be covering screwholes or case covers you can probably do this yourself. You would have to ask the service center about installation costs since we are only users like you on this forum and not ACER service center employees
