Turbo mode not working Ph 315-53-72w3

I bought my laptop recent . But the turbo mode is particularly working. My friend has the same laptop (same specifications) when he used to game on his laptop he  used to turn on turbo mode and if he  turn off the turbo mode while gaming his game would crash . But now if I turn off turbo mode while gaming it doesn't crash . And if I check my fps before and after turning on turbo mode there is a change of + - 3-4 fps
