How do you remove the front bezel on Aspire TC-1660 ?
The Service Guide manual pdf shows, after you remove the side panel, there are 3 plastic clips coming from the front plastic bezel which you just pry up a little.
But that is not sufficient.  The opposite side is still firmly attached and hardly lets the bezel pivot away from the front of the unit.
I'm afraid if I torque the bezel firmly it will break.
There's got to be something more to this than the service manual shows.
So.  How do I get this bezel off without breaking it?

My main reason I want to do this is, I think I need to practically tear down this whole computer to merely gain access to the M.2 SSD card.
It's under the DVD drive, which in turn is under the sheet-metal hard drive bay.
Is there some easier more practical way?
I mean, this design seems to make the M.2 SSD slot completely inaccessible.

Your PC is too new that I cannot find a Youtube video for the take down of the PC.

Based on what you described, it seemed to be somewhat similar in design to my PC ( under the DVD drive).

I cannot guarantee it will work this way but the concept is like that and should help you getting closer to accomplish it.

    1) Remove the two screws of the side panel at the rear of the PC, and take out  left side panel.

    2) Remove the HDD tray (if any), that should be the big piece of silver metal, you see it right away. Four screws to be removed. If other SSD/HDD already attached to it, be sure to disconnect power connector and data cables there first.

    3) Disconnect the power connector and data cable connected to the DVD Drive.

    4) At the lower side of the DVD drive tray ( closer to the rear side of the PC), there may be a round latch good for the size of the thumb or a finger.
Push down ( or lift up)  on it and at the same time push out the DVD to the front. This will probably eject the DVD drive to the front.

    5) If you want to remove the bezel, pay attention to the front side edge of your PC, there should be three small latches black in color ( top, middle, and lower). Use finger nails or guitar pick or credit card to flip the engaged part of the clips out a little so it can free up. A flat blade screw driver will do that too, if you think you will not be rough enough to break the latches. Do that for all three. There should be another three latches on the right hand side too ( if you stand in front of the PC with the PC in the upright position). Once you free the left, opened side , the right hand side latches can be removed easier.

    6) If you have not pushed out the DVD drive yet, you can do it now.

    7) Once DVD drive and bezel removed, you can service the M.2 NVMe SSD.

    Good luck !

Yeah, needing to remove the DVD first is pretty standard on these. The bezel on the drive is just a bit too big to allow the front to rotate off it.
