    (1) With the laptop plugged in, open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable'. Scroll down and uncheck the box for fast startup.

    (2) Then open Device Manager. Click batteries folder. Right click and uninstall ALL drivers you find in this folder. Exit Device Manager without re-installing anything.

    (3) Shut down Windows normally. Don't try to turn the laptop on again till battery charge LED turns from steady orange to steady blue.

    (4) After battery charge LED turns steady blue, turn laptop on and immediately start tapping the F2 key to enter BIOS menu. Press F9 to load BIOS default. Then press F10 to save default setting and exit.

    (5) Windows should start normally, automatically redetect the charging hardware and automatically reinstall fresh copies of their drivers.

    (6) Then go to the elevated command prompt.  Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport'. Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer. Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser. Post screenshot of the first part of the report if possible that compares design full charge capacity with its remaining full charge capacity.

If no longer under warranty, you need to replace the original battery which has lost nearly 80% of its full design capacity. Google search the part no. al15a32 for  vendors who ship to your location. About $25usd for a new replacement.

Does this mean that you don't want to buy a new battery for $25?
