Acer nitro 5 RAM slots

So today, I got 8gb of ram for my acer nitro 5. I kinda put it the wrong way and when I took it off to put it the right way, one of the connector pins broke off. It isn’t registering the new ram. Should I get it repaired, or is it just something with the software (if I do need to get it repaired is it worth the time, money, and trouble).

It looks like a hardware issue.   Check with the vendor from whom you have purchased.    They might help you to get a replacement memory.

So its only the stick that needs replacing? The ram slot also got kinda scuffed. Do ram sticks still work if they have some of the pins broken off?

If the ram slots on the motherboard is damaged then there is no use of getting the memory stick.   You might have to replace the motherboard.

    Hi @CreeperRyan,

As William_mk2 said you may need to replace the motherboard if it is damaged.
