@BigGoosey any recent windows/bios updates that might had disabled TS from working since it was working fine also you could need a clean/repaste TS doesnt do anything if its not properly cleaned/repasted with a good thermal paste like kryonaut or similar you can try to remove TS completely and battery shutdown battery powerdrain and bios setup defaults after install TS again and apply the conf good luck :)

It sounds like you installed an update that has locked CPU voltage control. This is common. Open the FIVR window. Does it say Locked?
New thermal paste or reinstalling ThrottleStop is not going to solve this problem. The CPU voltage control register has been Locked.

Post a screenshot of the FIVR window. The monitoring table in the top right corner shows if an undervolt is being applied or not.

I just checked the version but i dont know what is supposed to be on or off to start undervolting and okay i will try to get it repasted

The undervolt is working so you need to clean out your laptop and replace the thermal paste. Use a good paste like Noctua NT-H2 or something that will last a long time at high temperatures.

@xapimacer recently released 2.04 bios for the ph315-53 model. Does this version of bios block undervolting?

@egydiocoelho could be blocking yes as acer seems to be blocking undervolting in recent bios updates i dunno why as this does make it way worse when it comes to try to get temps down and if this is the case its really a shame because it means repasting will be the only solution forward for those who are able to do it without voiding the warranty all others suffering from the same will have to send their units back to acer to get them repasted with stock paste
