Hi all,
I have bad memory so I'm not sure if this was normal initially but I just noticed it now. My sound is working perfectly fine but I'd like to know if it's necessary for both of these to be in startup:
RtHDVBg_ASC HD Audio Background Process (Verified) Realtek Semiconductor Corp. c:\program files\realtek\audio\hda\ravbg64.exe 2019-10-09 3:58 AM
RtHDVBg_Dolby HD Audio Background Process (Verified) Realtek Semiconductor Corp. c:\program files\realtek\audio\hda\ravbg64.exe 2019-10-09 3:58 AM
What is the difference between these two processes and why are they needed? I believe Dolby audio is the only one I really need but I'm not sure. My drivers should NOT be updated as I have the latest that is stable for my laptop since updating it to a newer version in the past has made recording very quiet.
Just FYI this is on a clean installed SSD NVMe, didn't touch anything with sound drivers.
The main difference is one is ASC and the other is Dolby. I don't know what ASC is for.
