I've tried every fix, from yeti headsets to these RIG 400h's I bought 2 hours ago none of these headphones ever work. Discord uses my built in and every single game I play uses built in aswell. Something I've noticed is the built in microphone supposedly uses the left 3.5mm jack.

Thread was edited to add model name to the title

As seen here

I've tried everything. Can I please get some advice other than re installing drivers and trouble shooting? I've tried these things dozens and dozens of times.

  • First, what is your computers model number? Try to right click on  and go to "Open Sound settings" and use the mic troubleshooter and/or try all the settings options that are there for both sound and mic as that should connect your headset. Otherwise your audio pugs at your computer are faulty and not making contact etc, so check that also as there could be numerous hardware problems?

"tasty" things just don't go wrong because of nothing, there must be a problem internally with your Audio Jack and/or its side plug or that board  that connects your headset (also check headsets if they are working and making full connection with the plug?) with the motherboard. Disassemble the laptop and check the right part of the motherboard as you look at the motherboard once you have disassembled the bottom cover, where the Audio Jack is (see caption below) as the LAN Port, USB 3.1 Ports and Audio Jack board and/or those two cables that connect this board like the "FFC CABLE FOR IO BOARD (Acer part #: 50.Q83N2.001)" or the other connecting "WIRE CABLE FOR IO BOARD (Acer part #: 50.Q83N2.003)" that is the wire on top might be faulty and/or not making a connection, so check all that out and see if there is any problem(s) there and replace parts accordingly, as your headphones and mics should be working, btw the mics are a single unit combined into the camera so have a look there too, if the mics are not working, I've reference everything for you below, good luck.
