Battery concern/question

Hey there guys I was told that battery capacity decreases over time when left at 100% and so I'd like to cap it to 80% and once charged to 80%, AC mode from there however, this is not in the BIOS settings and Care Center seemingly removes it and I have to uninstall and reinstall an old version to have the 80% cap back which isn't very fun long term. The manual also didn't have the questions to any of my battery concerns.

But I was wondering since Gaming Laptops are perpetually at 100% since its better to use them in a docked state, does the predator suffer from this battery health decrease at 100% like normal laptops or does it stop itself before actually reaching 100% but shows 100% nevertheless? Thank you in advance guys!

Neptune_tK  all  batteries will decrease over time but no if you leave it always on AC and calibrate your battery properly once every 3/6 months it will last years to calibrate it let it discharge completely and fully recharge with power off repeat the process 3 times  i have a 8.6% wear on mine sand always on AC since 2018 non stop the battery wasnt designed to be used as in battery mode the main purpose its to aid the adapter with more power when this one cant provide enough to the cpu/dgpu and depending on the load it might discharge when on AC and will trickle charge when under 95% also in some cases when it reaches 40% you will loose all performance as the device will go into power saving mode even on AC to let the battery recharge completely at this point all work/gaming should be completely stopped and let it recharged or even shut it down for a proper recharge i hope this explanation answered you question if so please accept the answer as solved for someone with similar doubts to be able to find it more quickly when searching :)
