Press and hold power button till all LEDs are unlit except battery charge LED if plugged in. Then unplug charger. Insert a paperclip into reset pinhole on bottom for 60 seconds. Then plug the charger back in and wait for the battery charge LED to turn from steady orange to steady blue. This may take a few hours. Then try to turn the laptop on.

First, remove ALL external devices from ALL port except for charger. Then do the following one by one to test if machine stays on.
    (1) Disconnect HDD from mainboard
    (2) Remove RAM modules
    (3) Disconnect battery pack from mainboard

What do you mean by "then when I tried to open it".  What did you try to open? Was it the bottom cover?

If the power LED still shuts off after a few seconds with the HDD, RAM & battery pack all disconnected,  what is your  full A5 model number? For example, A515-54G?
