Hello!
I have an Acer Aspire A515-51-89LS since late 2018. Now my laptop dies when it is unplugged. I was able to have it on for 5 minutes without plugging it in today, so I have seen it charge from 98% to 100%. The battery shows 100%  but dies when unplugged. Should I buy a new battery? If so, where should I buy it from? Thank you so much!

Try to reset the battery as shown below, if that doesn't work then your battery needs replacing the OEM batteries for your A515-51 are either a Panasonic AC14B3K 3220 mAh or an LG AC14B8K 3220 mAh battery.

    Hi Nazz,

    # Try to update the battery driver

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically".

Check this T/S and post the result.
