Hi everyone!

After a quick search I saw that the Swift 1 storage could be upgraded with a SSD so I tried to put a NVMe M.2 SSD into the empty slot but I have tried two different SSD and none of them appeared anywhere. Not in BIOS, not in Computer nor Disk Management.

What should I do ? I have a Swift 1 SF114-32-P6M2.

Thanks!

Specs on the SF114-32 models has a subtext: "1 SATA and PCIe devices vary depending on model and PCB BOM type." and also says that some support M.2 SATA and some M.2 NVMe. I'd say you have likely shown that your system supports SATA and not NVMe in that slot.

Thank you for that! The NVMe SSD fit perfectly into the port though, would the SATA one fit too? When I compared the two I noticed they have different "teeth" (2 on NVMe and 3 on SATA) ?

Yep, they both will fit just fine. You only run into fitment issues if you try to plug a device with one slot into a port with a different slot. Both fit your slot.

You were right, the SATA SSD works like a charm. Thank you again :)

Great! I wish we knew for sure which SKUs supported NVMe and which don't, but at least we know that all support SATA.
