Hey everyone,
I have an Spin 3 SP314-54N-58Q7 laptop. Yesterday I came to the realization that my unlocking with my fingerprint reader wasn't working. There wasn't an option for it, so I came to the conclusion that it wasn't detected. I looked through the Device Manager, and an error was there for the Synaptics WBDI Fingerprint Reader— "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)". What can I do to fix such an error? Thanks in advance!

    Hi @SharkyTG
check if there is a pin 📌hole at the bottom of the unit. Put a small pin inside and press and hold the pin for 30sec.  If there is no pin hole then press the power button for 12sec. Remember to remove your charger when you do that.

That type of error shows up once in a while during Windows updates. It usually fixes itself after a couple of reboots, or during the next update.
