So, I recently purchased a Aspire A515-46-R14K, with the AMD Ryzen 3 3350U Quad-Core Mobile Processor... Right now it only has 4 GB of RAM and its just a little bit slow for my taste. I know it has another slot for ram, and could probably get a compatible ram for it, but would like someone who actually knows what their doing to give their input. An additional 4 gb of ram should handle everything smoothly, unless their is a reason i should get 8 gb more... I someone could provide a processor that is a good fit for a decent price, that would be appreciated

You can add a 4GB, 8GB or 16GB DDR4 sodimm module to the soldered 4GB RAM already on the mainboard. 3200MHz speed are recommended. Crucial, Kingston, Hynix, samsung brands should be compatible. I think a 4GB sodimm would be fine right now.

I bought the Aspire 5 A515-46-R3UB, a later model. Even though Amazon states "Internal Specifications: 4GB DDR4 on-board memory (1 slot available)", there is no way to add a RAM module; at least I can't see any kind of memory cavity cover. If it indeed can be upgraded with an additional RAM module, let me know HOW, because there is also nothing regarding this in the manual.

Some 4GB or 8GB models, depending on the region, actually came with 0GB soldered on-board RAM. They were sometimes mistakenly advertised as 4GB or 8GB on board RAM. So the replaceable RAM socket was already occupied with a 4GB RAM module or 8GB RAM module. The only way to upgrade RAM in those OGB on board models, is by replacing the factory module up to a maximum of a 16GB module.
