Hi,
I have an Acer GN246HL monitor that supports 144 hz. I got 144 hz with my old graphic card, with dvi cable, but the new graphic card does not have a dvi output, only hdmi and displayport. I have tried with different HDMI cables that should support 144 hz, and with displayport to hdmi cables. None of them are working, still stuck with 60 hz refresh rate. Guessing that the only input to the monitor that supports 144 hz is the dvi. Is there any options that could work? Have not found any displayport/hdmi to dvi (dual link) that will support 144 hz.

I think that montior has an artificial limit on 60hz over the HDMI as it's electrically a hdmi 1.2 so it canny do it :(

Yes, you need DP to get the faster refresh rates.
