 As you can see in the second (right) picture, the new RAM (black) doesn't fit on the second slot. But when i remove the first ram and try to put the new ones in the first slot(left pic), it f*cking fits perfectly. Honestly I'm pretty lost right now as i want to avoid going to the technician because of a faulty device, because that would be too expensive for me(im in college ffs god why?!). Can anyone please give me an idea of what's going on? :anguished:

    Forgot to add my model number. It's AN515-43-R1PB. It's a 2 year old device

    Push a little harder, before that try to fit the original one in the 2nd slot.

    I've tried both. I'm concerned that the second slot is the actual problem here. I push harder, it just won't get in. Remove the original ones from the first slot to the second slot, it's the same thing it just won't get in. With the first slot it's very easy to insert both the original and the new RAM. I'm in pain right now

    Do you have warranty? Looks like the slot is defective...

    Warranty is basically voided since I unscrew the warranty sticker protected screw. If technician are my only solution, do they have to basically swap out the whole motherboard? Or can they fix just the ram slot that is defective?

    @Aryaananda

    That slot looks perfectly fine to me. Maybe you can you something (I'll use my finger nails) to pull the clips on both sides to the side a little bit at the tip to make it a little wider and push the memory module in and release the finger nails on both sides, the clips will engage the memory module fine.

    Tried it, sadly with no luck

    Could you take a picture of the slot so that the hole is visible?

    Sorry for the lack of update. It turns out I'm a moron. You just have to wiggle while pushing it right in because it's pretty tight in there, especially for its first time. Seriously tho, all you guys trying to help while no one does, you guys are the real ones. Hope this helps people in the future having the same problem as me, which is a lack of experience lol
