Hi,

I'm using Acer Swift 3 ( SF314-53G-50G6) and I'm looking to upgrade or add an additional SSD to my laptop.

The interface type in the official site is listed as SATA and the pre-installed  SSD is also m.2 SATA SSD.

Thread was edited to add model name to the title

I'm interested in buying m.2 NVMe SSD. I want to know if my Acer will support NVMe SSD?

This is how the secondary port looks like.

Please guide me. Thanks in advance.

There are two M.2 SSD ports in the SF314-53G models. One is PCIe x2 and the other PCIe x4. I would expect (and Acer states) the x4 port to support NVMe x4 and the x2 port to support SATA. It's possible the x2 port also supports NVMe x2 drives, but Acer doesn't so state. The x4 port is likely labeled SATA1 and the x2 SATA2.

    Hi iamKulo,

It has 2 Slots (1 Upgradable) to install memory, already with 4GB (Soldered) standard memory installed. For best Swift 3 SF314 Laptop performance use the maximum amount of 12GB, fill all the slots with the max allowed memory per slot for your Laptop.
