G3-571 battery issue

My battery was dead so I replaced it and it solved the problem of dying everytime I unplugged it, I ran some command line test and it definitely was dead.

But now when fully charged the indicator light is blinking orange when fully charged. It charges fine though. Is this normal? Is it related to my power adapter?

When its fully charged and I unplug it/plug it back in it stays blue for a little bit and then starts flashing orange but still says 100%. I just replaced the battery and did the battery reset already. It went from 0-100% fine when I installed it too. I uninstalled the ACPI driver, restarted, unplugged and replugged the adapter and it does the same thing.

I am thinking I need a new power adapter? It is out of warranty for sure.

"Charging: The light shows amber when the battery is charging.

Fully charged: The light shows blue when in AC mode"

When fully charged plugged in, and the battery confirms it, it says 100% and still flashes amber while doing nothing but surfing. Once I start gaming on 100% plugged in it holds blue.

The battery was previously dead and I replaced it. It charged up fine with no issues and behaves fine unplugged. The only hiccup is the amber indicator light while fully charged when it shouldn't be.

Even if its brand new always check your battery wear with battery bar pro or hwinfo just to make sure (bare in mind that any battery if more than 20/25% consider replacing it as the cells cannot hold the designed capacity anymore) but as you stated the new battery is performing fine and holds charge as normal you can try a battery powerdrain followed by a bios setup defaults other thing you can check its the voltage on your adapter with a voltmeter to see if its outputting the correct voltage or not also if you charge with the laptop off will still do the same or its back to normal if you find out your adapter is faulty i can post the part numbers for you to look for another replacement either way good luck :)

Make sure that you replace your OEM battery which is a 4-cell, 3220 mAh polymer/prismatic battery with an exact and the same type from either Acer or from the below listed manufacturers type models and these exact specifications, as the cheap nasty copy batteries that are sold on eBay and Amazon will give you those wrong readings and will be problematic and will never ever function like the OEM batteries. Below are the Acer OEM battery light functions/descriptions and battery types for your G3-571:

I bought this https://www.ebay.com/itm/202058835190 and it seems to be functioning just fine except for the light when fully charged. When I am playing a game, the light stays blue. Which is odd. But it always stays at 100% plugged in and drains normally unplugged etc.

Battery seems legit. Readings say Panasonic, correct capacity. Wear it 5% but everything is normal otherwise even performance. Driver for bios seems good. I even reinstalled the ACPI driver.
