im in the bios of my acer aspire 1 laptop that wont boot and there is no setting to change to legacy

its just not there all there is that i can see is secure boot and boot priority order with nothing under it.    this happened because my brother raged and hit were the hard drive is. if anybody can help please contact me.  Thanks. Sincerely. Dom

    The HDD is still recognized by the BIOS. Go back into the BIOS and press F9 to load BIOS defaults. Then press F10 to save default settings and exit. The BIOS must remain in UEFI mode. The HDD won't be recognized in Legacy mode.

     it still says no bootable device

    Go back into the BIOS menu Main tab. Make sure the F12 and D2D options are enabled. Then press F10 to save settings and exit. Then shut the machine off again. Then turn it back on and immediately press the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. Does a recovery screen appear?
