Can I remove the Battery on my Acer Nitro 5 and still use my Laptop?

So I tend to have a habit of using my Laptops while they are charging. I know I know. You're not supposed to do this but what can I say? My laptop is basically my desktop so I've never really felt the need to disconnect the charger.

My question is this: I've heard you can use a laptop like a desktop by just removing the battery and leaving the charger connected. I talked to an IT guy and he backed me up and since my current battery has stopped working (this is the second one that has stopped working - probably because I have my charger connected all the time xD).

Anyway, I don't want to buy another battery if it's just gunna die in a half a year or a year.

The IT guy I talked to said that some laptops won't work unless the battery is in but that it's rarer. Before I open up my Nitro I just wanted to ask if this was the case for the Nitra 5. Am I good to remove the battery from my laptop? Will it still work without a battery as long as the charger is connected?

It should do but it's not really recommend , the laptop should be fine to leave it on charge all the time as it just stops throwing power to the battery when it no longer needs to.

Whats the issue with the battery? It's odd it's eaten two !

I also have a nitro 5 that has the battery died twice, doesn't help that the battery replacement costs 120 USD.
I would replace it myself but the batteries aren't purchasable.
