Acer Aspire 5 A515-55G , 
6 months after I bought my computer, I started to experience serious fps drops in games. These include CS: GO , Knight Online, COD Black Ops 2, and I was experiencing these drops while using my computer, even though I had a laptop cooler. My computer did not have such a problem in the first 6 months, I could play games without getting stuck very well. I tried the quickstart solution, the regedit solution and all the solutions I saw, but unfortunately there was no change. I'm asking for help. @egydiocoelho

    If you're a heavy game player, you probably need to re-paste the heatsinks to the CPU and GPU with a quality paste like Kryonaut or ArcticMX4. A laptop cooler won't help much if the old paste is dry & cracked. The fan blades could probably be cleaned up as well. Re-pasting is considered normal routine maintenance for laptops used for gaming.

    I understand. I bought it from someone who didn't buy my computer. However, I live in Turkey and they ask for a fee for technical service in Turkey, because I did not buy my computer from Turkey. What can we do?

    You can clean the fans and re-paste the heatsinks yourself if it's not under warranty. The bottom cover must be removed to access these parts. Google search keywords A515-51G disassembly for videos on how to do this. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, then yes I would expect you would have to pay or barter with someone to do it for you.

    If you bought the laptop as new directly from an ACER authorized dealer or store, then the warranty is valid in the country or region in which the dealer or store is located.

    I also bought this device 3 months ago from https://www.xcite.com.sa . It works fine for me till now.

    No. I bought 0 model laptops from mediamart. But from Germany. I am in Turkey and it is not valid in Turkey. However, because it is still the same store, why is the warranty not valid?

    No iam not. İ bought 0 model leptop. However, acer customer service said that there is no warranty for devices bought from Germany or from a different country outside of Turkey, and they demanded a high amount of fee even only for fault detection. I bought this computer from Mediamark, a store located in both Germany and Turkey, and it is a device that has not been used by anyone else. I will even send you the purchase receipt for the device.

    I did the solutions you posted. However, it was not successful. Probably a hardware problem or, as jackE said, a problem with the thermal paste. I'm pretty sure I haven't done enough to crack the thermal paste. Because I haven't played any games other than CS:GO. I did not even play a game that would tire the CPU of the computer, I did not take any action.

    Sorry, Turkey warranty service applies only to machines purchased in Turkey, not Germay. Perhaps TurkeyMediaMarkt store can communicate with GermanyMediaMarkt store to see if your purchase receipt can be officially changed from GermanyMediaMarkt store to TurkeyMediaMarkt store so Turkey warrany service applies.

  • First, try reinstalling windows by pressing the alt+f10 keys before the acer logo:
    If there are still performance issues, check the temperature.

    I reset the computer 3 times. Nothing changed every time I reset it. The temperature is about 90 degrees Celsius when I open the game.
