Laptop shuts down and does not charge once the lid is closed SF314-58G

I got an ACER SWIFT SF314-58G about 6 months ago. For the last month or so, my laptop just shuts down every time I close the lid. It only charges when the lid is open. I have tried the battery settings to make sure my laptop "does nothing" or goes to sleep when I close the lid. None of the settings has worked.

I cannot use my laptop without a charger because I always need to plug it in for my laptop to turn on. Once it's on and the battery is charged, I can take off the charger. It works normally then.

I also tried resetting the battery and installing the latest drivers, nothing has worked so far. I have not a solution on the internet so far.

That's a weird one... I can't think of any reason why the charger wouldn't work with the laptop off, no matter what the position of the screen is. I'd guess there's something physical going on that causes the issues when it's closed. Best bet is to contact Acer support and get a warranty repair setup.
